Guinness Ghana has announced a major boost for Ghana’s music industry with the introduction of a new annual prize for the Album/EP of the Year category at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).
Beginning with the 27th edition, the winner will receive a GHS100,000 cash prize, support towards the production of a music video, and a curated album listening experience.
According to the company, the initiative is designed to support creative excellence and create long-term value for artistes, while contributing to the growth of Ghana’s music ecosystem.
Guinness Ghana, a longstanding supporter of the awards scheme, said the move also aims to strengthen the significance of the Album/EP of the Year category and expand opportunities for industry visibility and audience engagement.
