Ghana U17 men’s national team, the Black Starlets, have arrived safely in Morocco ahead of the 2026 U17 Africa Cup of Nations, marking their return to the continental showpiece after nine years.
The team, which included 21 players and 14 officials, touched down in Morocco after an extended preparatory camp at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram.
Having departed Ghana on Wednesday, May 6, the Ghana Football Association announced that the team landed successfully.
The team, which last featured at the tournament in 2017 in Gabon, where they finished as runners-up, would be determined to make a strong impression in Rabat and secure qualification for the next U-17 World Cup.
They recently concluded a double-header friendly against Côte d’Ivoire in Abidjan as part of their final preparations.
As two-time African champions, the Black Starlets have been drawn in Group D alongside Algeria, Senegal, and South Africa.
The competition is scheduled to run from May 13 to June 2, 2026.
