The Ghana Police Service has arrested a 60-year-old man for allegedly assaulting his 16-year-old biological son at North Legon in the Greater Accra Region.

Police identified the suspect as Eric Mante, who reportedly committed the offence on May 3, 2026.

According to a police statement, the teenager had gone out to play football with friends on the day of the incident when his father reportedly confronted him.

Investigators disclosed that the suspect allegedly tied the teenager to a quad motorbike and sped off with him.
