The spokesperson of Technology and Digital Economy for the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP), Prince Ofosu Sefah, has urged Minority MPs to boycott any privileges committee hearings over comments made by the minority leader about a judge.

According to him, majority leader, Mahama Ayariga should also be invited for similar remarks he allegedly made while the NDC was in opposition.

Speaking during an interview on Angel FM’s Anopa Bofo show on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, Sefah argued that fairness and constitutional principles must guide the actions of Parliament and state institutions.

“I will advise the caucus that the NPP should boycott the hearing until the majority leader is also questioned over comments he allegedly made against judges. As they say, ‘crime has no expiry date.’ We are only following the constitution,” he stated.

According to him, the constitution does not permit selective justice or discrimination in the application of the law.

“The constitution said we shall not discriminate. We should sue the judges, we should sue the IGP and all the institutions,” he added.

Sefah insisted that if Parliament intends to investigate comments made by the Minority Leader, then similar statements allegedly made in the past by Mahama Ayariga should also be subjected to scrutiny.
