Popular Ghanaian actor, Clement Bonney, popularly known as Mr Beautiful, has opened up about the painful collapse of his marriage, revealing that a friendship he once trusted contributed to the breakup.
Speaking in an interview with Emelia Brobbey, the actor disclosed that he introduced a friend to his wife, only for the relationship between the two to later affect his marriage.
“I befriended someone whom I introduced to my wife, and the two of them ended my marriage,” he said.
According to the popular actor, “That experience has left me with a deep scar.”
Mr Beautiful also expressed disappointment over the situation, stating that the person involved was a Christian, an experience he says has affected his perception of Christians.
“The person is a Christian, and that has left me with a deep scar. I don’t trust Christians anymore; they are the most wicked people,” he stated.
Despite the painful experience, the actor revealed that he still shares a cordial relationship with his ex-wife, noting that they remain close friends and communicate frequently.
“My wife and I are very good friends. We speak every day on the phone. We joke and laugh together,” he said. “In fact, we have spoken twice this morning.”
