Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Derrick Luckassen has reportedly received a late call-up to the Black Stars squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup, replacing injured defender Alexander Djiku.
According to reports, Djiku is battling an injury that could rule him out of the tournament, prompting the technical team to consider Luckassen as his replacement.
The final 26-man squad for the Mundial is expected to be announced before the close of today, Monday, June 1.
Meanwhile, the Black Stars are scheduled to play Wales in an international friendly match on Tuesday, June 2, as part of their preparations for the World Cup.
