Portuguese tactician and Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz says his charges seek to bring pride and happiness to Ghanaian football supporters.
He said in a press conference on Monday, June 1, 2026, ahead of Tuesday’s international friendly with Wales.
Carlos Queiroz indicated that the Black Stars are dedicated to showcasing quality football to the Ghanaian people and making them happy.
“We want to express ourselves in the game tomorrow. It’s the best of our skills, effort, and commitment. As I said, the message is simple. We want to play great football; we want to play to win. We want to bring pride and happiness to the fans. That’s the only thing that I’m sure all players have in mind.
“And the message, it is a message of hope and confidence that, being with them not for so many months but with the training sessions that I did with them, all of them are fully committed to deliver for the national team,” he told Journalists at the Cardiff City Stadium.
He added that “I’m very much confident that the message will be positive tomorrow.”
Coach Carlos Queiroz and his boys will compete in Group L in the 2026 World Cup against Panama, England, and Croatia.
