The Bank of Ghana (BoG) has dismissed reports suggesting it is considering selling its new $260 million headquarters.
The central Bank described the purported reportage as “false and misleading.”
BoG in a statement issued Tuesday, June 2, 2026, emphasized that it is not “considering, discussing, or planning” any sale of the new facility.
The statement urged the public and media to disregard the report, cautioning that such misinformation could undermine confidence in Ghana’s financial system.
The Bank reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and advised that official communications are available through its website (bog.gov.gh), verified social media platforms, and official statements.
It further encouraged the media to seek clarification before publishing information about its operations.
