Controversial televangelist, Nana Agradaa, is facing a fresh legal challenge after a businesswoman and NGO operator filed a defamation lawsuit against her at the Accra High Court.
According to the plaintiff, Agradaa allegedly made defamatory statements accusing her of demanding a bribe. The woman claims the remarks have damaged her reputation and prompted her to seek legal redress.
The plaintiff further alleged that although the case was filed in 2024, proceedings have been delayed due to Agradaa’s repeated failure to appear before the court despite reportedly being served with the necessary legal documents.
Speaking on the matter, the businesswoman stated that the court has directed the televangelist to appear before it or risk judgment being entered against her.
The lawsuit is said to be connected to the widely publicized Sarah Gold case, which attracted significant public attention. In that case, a woman identified as Sarah Gold accused Agradaa of taking possession of family gold that had been brought to her church for spiritual blessings and failing to return it.
As of the time of filing this report, Nana Agradaa has not publicly responded to the latest defamation suit or the claims made by the plaintiff.
