Former Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, Samuel Koku Anyidoho, has criticised the government amid a public clash between the Finance and Agriculture Ministries over a GH¢1.6 billion funding claim.

In a post on X, Anyidoho questioned why the matter was not resolved at Cabinet level before spilling into the public domain.

“Humbly so, I have been in government before: how come this was not resolved at Cabinet Meeting level and it has now exploded outside? Is there a Central Authority or not? This is so embarrassing!!!!” he wrote.

Describing the incident as unprecedented, he said it “STINKS” and openly questioned presidential control. “Respectfully, is the President really in-charge?”

Anyidoho argued that such a public dispute would not have occurred under former Presidents Jerry John Rawlings and John Evans Atta-Mills.

“From the NDC perspective, there is NO WAY this would happen under President Rawlings and President Atta-Mills,” he stated.

He further linked the clash to internal party politics, noting that “both names are popping up to become Flagbearer of NDC,” adding that there is no discipline in the government.
