President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Edwin Simon Okraku, has expressed confidence in the Black Stars at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, insisting that the team shall conquer despite doubts from some individuals.

He emphasized that the Black Stars are at the global tournament to compete for the trophy, not merely to increase numbers.

He made this statement during a farewell dinner for the team before they departed from the Ghanaian community in Virginia to Providence.

Addressing hundreds of Ghanaians in the diaspora, President Simeon-Okraku expressed confidence in Ghana’s prospects in Group L to prove doubters wrong.

“We strongly believe in this team, and we know that we are not here to be counted among the numbers but to compete and fight for the title.

“I strongly believe in these players, and over time, they have proven they possess the quality, talent, hunger, and desire to make Ghana proud.

“This is our time to shine. The stakes are high. A lot of people don’t believe, but I do. I feel energized and very upbeat about our chances in this tournament. We are Ghana, and we shall conquer,” the President observed
