The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin has sent a motivational message to the Black Stars of Ghana as they prepare to begin their FIFA World Cup campaign against Panama.

In a statement, the Speaker rallied the team to unite the nation through their performance, stressing that football transcends divisions of politics, religion, and ethnicity.

“As you step onto the pitch, remember that you carry the hopes and dreams of millions of Ghanaians. Beyond politics, religion, and ethnicity, football unites us all,” he said.

He urged the players to embody the symbolism of the Black Star, describing it as a beacon of pride, hope, excellence, and triumph.

“Play with pride, passion, confidence, and belief. The Black Star is not just a symbol; it is a representation of our collective spirit,” the Speaker emphasized.

The message further encouraged the team to make history for themselves and for Ghana, inspiring future generations through their performance.

“Go forth and make Ghana proud,” stressed the Speaker, reflecting the nation’s collective support for the Black Stars as they embark on their World Cup journey.
