The Adenta Circuit Court has granted bail to Israel Kwadwo Safo Akofena and eight others over their alleged involvement in the Dome-Kwabenya shooting incident, which injured former Member of Parliament Sarah Adwoa Safo.
The accused persons were granted GH₵500,000 bail with two sureties each following their first court appearance on Tuesday, June 23, 2026.
They all pleaded not guilty to five counts of the use of offensive weapons, possession of explosives and ammunition, and causing unlawful damage.
The case has been adjourned to a later date for further proceedings.
The shooting incident is reportedly linked to who succeeds the founder and leader of the late Kristo Asafo Mission, Apostle Kwadwo Safo.
