Chief of Staff Julius Debrah has called on private sector players to increase investment in Ghana’s healthcare sector, describing it as a critical pillar of national development and economic growth.

Speaking at the launch of Euracare’s new state-of-the-art specialist hospital in East Legon, Mr. Debrah said the facility represents more than just a new healthcare institution, noting that it symbolizes years of commitment, investment, and confidence in Ghana’s future.

Delivering remarks on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama, the Chief of Staff congratulated the board, management, staff, and partners of Euracare for their achievement and commended the institution for its steady growth from its beginnings in Labone to its new specialist facility in East Legon.

“Healthcare is one of the most important pillars of national development. A healthy population is a productive population. A healthy workforce is the foundation of economic growth. Every investment in healthcare is ultimately an investment in our people and in our future,” he stated.

Mr. Debrah emphasized that private healthcare facilities such as Euracare play a vital role in complementing government efforts by expanding access to specialist healthcare services, creating employment opportunities, promoting innovation, and raising standards across the country’s healthcare ecosystem.

He noted that the standards established by institutions like Euracare would help shape the future of healthcare delivery in Ghana.

The Chief of Staff also expressed appreciation to healthcare professionals for their dedication and service, acknowledging their contributions to saving lives, restoring hope, and strengthening communities across the country.

Addressing private sector leaders present at the event, Mr. Debrah urged them to view the Euracare project as an example of what can be achieved when vision, capital, expertise, and purpose are brought together.

“To our private sector leaders gathered here, I hope this project serves as an inspiration to all of us. It demonstrates that when vision, capital, expertise, and purpose come together, transformative outcomes are possible,” he said.

He further encouraged Ghanaians to see the new facility as evidence of the country’s potential and the importance of investing in national development.

Mr. Debrah officially congratulated Euracare on the opening of its East Legon specialist hospital and expressed optimism about the institution’s future contribution to healthcare delivery in Ghana.

He concluded by wishing the facility success in the years ahead and reaffirming government’s commitment to supporting initiatives that strengthen healthcare services and improve the well-being of citizens.
