Former Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has expressed sympathy to thousands of Ghanaians affected by the floods across the country, following the heavy downpour on Monday, June 29, 2026.

In a Facebook post, Dr. Bawumia said his thoughts and prayers were with those who have lost loved ones, properties, and those forced out of their homes.

“My deepest sympathies to those who have lost their loved ones, properties, and those who have been forced out of their homes,” he wrote.

He urged citizens to comply with all directives issued by the government and to cooperate fully with institutions mandated to address the situation.

Dr. Bawumia also called on emergency services and relevant authorities to do everything possible to reach those in need and assist them.

“We will get through this difficult time by caring for one another,” he added.
