Highlife legend, Obuoba J.A. Adofo, has expressed heartfelt appreciation to President John Dramani Mahama for supporting him during a difficult period of illness.
Speaking in an interview on Angel TV ‘Experiences in Life’ show, the veteran musician revealed that the President reached out to him with financial assistance and other essential supplies after learning about his condition.
“I give thanks to the President. When I got sick, he sent me money and got me some provisions, and he still does it. I’m really grateful for that,” J.A. Adofo said.
He stressed that he never approached the President to ask for help, noting that the support came voluntarily.
“I didn’t go to him to beg him. When he heard about me, he sent money to me,” he stated.
J.A. Adofo also expressed his desire to personally thank President Mahama for his kindness, saying he has not yet had the opportunity to meet him.
“I want to meet him personally and thank him, but I’m not getting that opportunity,” he added.
