Fashion entrepreneur Richard Brown, popularly known as Osebo the Zaraman, has thrown his support behind Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena following the reading of the will of the late Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, which confirmed Akofena as the successor to the Kantanka Empire and leader of the Christo Asafo Church.
The will was read in court on Monday, July 6, 2026, bringing clarity to the long-running dispute over the leadership of the Kantanka Empire after the death of the renowned inventor and founder of the Christo Asafo Mission.
Speaking to journalists after the court proceedings, Osebo admitted that he does not agree with Akofena on many issues but said he would respect the wishes of the late Apostle and support his succession.
“I don’t agree with Akofena on so many things, but because of the good things his father did for me while he was alive, I will support him,” Osebo said.
He further emphasized that the late Apostle’s final wishes should be respected, adding that peace within the family and the church should be the priority.
“The will has been read, and it says Akofena should lead the Christo Asafo Church, so as Papa has said it, who am I to say I don’t agree with him?” he stated.
“We want peace. He’s our father,” Osebo added.
