Government has clarified that Friday, July 10 is not a public holiday despite a nationwide clean-up exercise scheduled by President John Mahama.
Deputy Chief of Staff, Stan Dogbe, made this known exclusively to Angel 102.9 FM on Thursday, July 9.
According to Mr. Dogbe, the National Clean-Up Exercise is part of President Mahama’s initiative to rid the country of filth and improve sanitation.
The exercise will begin at 6:00am and is expected to end by 2:00pm
He urged all citizens, institutions and organizations to participate fully and help keep their communities clean.
Mr. Dogbe said the clarification became necessary following public speculation on social media that Friday would be observed as a holiday.
