Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club PLC has appointed UEFA-licensed coach Mr. Nebojsa Kapor as its new Head Coach on a 2-year contract, marking what the club calls “A New Era: Rebuilding With Ambition.”
The announcement was made in an official statement signed by Hearts Management and released on Friday, July 25, 2026, following what the Board described as an “extensive recruitment process” aimed at restoring the Phobians to domestic and continental prominence.
According to the club, Coach Kapor brings valuable Ghana Premier League experience, having previously managed Tema Youth FC, Bechem United FC and Medeama SC.
“The Board is confident Coach Kapor has the leadership and technical competence to lead Hearts of Oak into a new era of stability and success,” the statement read.
The club highlighted Kapor’s tactical expertise, deep understanding of Ghanaian football, and progressive coaching philosophy. It noted he is known for building competitive, attacking teams grounded in discipline and youth development; an approach the Board says aligns closely with its long-term vision.
This appointment is the first of several technical appointments expected in the coming weeks as Hearts of Oak prepares for the next season.
The Board has called on the “Phobian family to rally behind him and the technical team as we work together to restore this great Club to its rightful place at the summit of Ghanaian and African football.”
