Akufo-Addo, Bawumia congratulate Black Satellites for winning trophy on Ghana’s 64th birthday

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has expressed his delight and congratulated the national Under 20 football team, Black Satellites f,or winning the The 2021 African Cup of Nations..

The win comes after the Black Satellites beat Uganda 2:0 at the grand finale, staged at Stade Olympique de Nouakchott in Mauritania on Saturday, March 6.

The Satellites captain, Daniel Barnie scored both goals in each half to help Ghana lift the trophy after 90 minutes of entertaining football.

President Akufo-Addo following their victory, appreciated the hard work of the team and was much more pleased how it came on the nation’s 64th Independence celebration. 2021 Black Satellites

He wrote on Facebook: “Congratulations to the Black Satellites for winning Ghana’s 4th AFCON U-20 trophy. Thoroughly deserved victory, and they’ve made Mother Ghana proud.”

“What a way to celebrate our 64th Independence Anniversary!! Kudos to the team, and I look forward to receiving the playing, technical and management teams to Jubilee House,” he added.
