Akim Oda MP inaugrates development committees in constituency

Member of Parliament for Akim Oda Constituency of the Eastern Region, Alexander Akwasi Acquah, on Friday, March 5, 2021, inaugurated seven working and development committees to oversee his initiatives for the area.

The working and development committees which is the first of its kind to be initiated by a Parliamentarian, comprise persons of all careers.Akwasi Acquah development committees

They have a mandate to ensure that the vision and campaign promises of the MP come to fruition.

Mr Alexander Akwasi Acquah (MP) told the people gathered that the members of the committee will represent him in every facet of development in the constituency.

He added that they will be agents of development, making sure all his policies are driven down to the doorstep of the people.Akwasi Acquah development committees

“You will represent me here in the constituency. If anybody has a problem that needs to be brought to my attention, the committees should be informed and it will be solved as soon as possible”, He added.

The Committees are Education, Finance, Employment and Welfare, Institutional and Public relations, Health, Project and infrastructure as well as Special committee in charge of 1D1F. Akwasi Acquah development committees

The ‘Game Changer’ as he is known to many in the constituency, Mr Acquah took time to advise members of the committees to be submissive and committed to their work.

He further admonished the members to refrain from using their representation on the committee to exploit people living in the constituency.

Birim Central Municipal Chief Executive, Victoria Adu reiterated the President’s call for everyone to abide by the covid-19 safety protocol.

She announced the arrival of the AstraZeneca vaccines in the country and confirmed that the Eastern Region was not a recepient of the first batch of the vaccines but assured the people gathered that the municipality will receive its quota immediately the region receives its share.
