QNET, one of Asia’s leading e-commerce direct selling companies offering a wide range of health, wellness and lifestyle products that enable people to lead better lives, has cleared the air about some misconceptions about its business in Ghana.

Speaking to journalists in a media engagement event in Accra, Mr. Biram Fall, the Regional General Manager for QNET in Sub-Saharan Africa said: ” QNET is a credible direct selling business that has been in existence for 23 years and is serving the needs of its customers across different parts of the world. Direct Selling has been with us for over 200 years and is very popular in the United States and many parts of the world. Some of the challenges the industry is facing in general is because of lack of understanding of how the sector works. Another challenge across Africa, is the absence of legislation to govern activities in the sector.”

Mr. Fall explained that Direct Selling helps to create wealth for individuals who have entrepreneurial spirit and disposition. According to him, Direct Selling companies manufacture their own products and cut out large wholesalers and retailers, but rather distribute their products directly to the end-user using an e-commerce platform or through people who register with them as direct distributors. So, instead of big wholesale companies keeping shares of the profit on each item, those profits go directly to individuals who buy those products. Many people who understand the nature of this business take advantage of the opportunity and create wealth for themselves over time and with good dint of hardwork and perseverance.”

QNET’s grassroots business model fuelled by the power of e-commerce has helped empower millions of entrepreneurs in more than 100 countries worldwide. QNET is headquartered in Hong Kong and has a presence in more than 25 countries around the world through subsidiaries, branch offices, agency partnerships, and franchisees.

Also speaking to the media at the event, Ms. Maxime Peti, Public Relations Manager for QNET in Sub-Saharan emphasized that: “QNET is not an investment or Ponzi scheme and does not support any get-rich quick notion. It is basically networking marketing. You log on to our website www.qnet.net and see the wide range of our products. You can either buy these products and use personally for health and wellbeing or choose the entrepreneurial path by registering as an Independent Representative and refer others to buy our products. You get commission on every referral sale.”

In Ghana, QNET is supporting the ANOPA project in the Central Region of Ghana. QNET is enabling less-privileged, hearing and visually-impaired young people to participate in sporting activities and enrol in schools. QNET has supported the National Chief Imam’s educational foundation and has religiously donated assorted items to the needy in Accra, Kumasi and Tamale during the Ramadan for many years.
