The Deputy Minister of Sports, Evans Opoku Bobie, has said that the Ministry has not approved the appointment of Serbian Trainer, Milovan Rajevac as the new coach of the senior national team, Black Stars.
Reports that have made rounds in a section of the Ghanaian media indicated that the Serbian was selected by the search committee as the perfect replacement for the sacked coach, Charles Kobina Akunnor.
The reports continued that he has arrived in the country and is currently lodging at a hotel awaiting an official announcement.
But the Deputy Minister speaking on Angel FM’s Anɔpa Bɔfoɔ said there is no iota of truth in the reports.
“Per our checks as a Ministry, we have not seen Milo, we have not even received from the FA regarding the appointment of a new coach so take from me that Milovan has not been appointed Black Stars coach…,” he said.
