The Ghana Police Service has announced that the woman in centre of “missing pregnant woman” controversy has confessed to the alleged kidnapping and pregnancy.
According to the Police in its latest update on social media, particularly Facebook, Josephine Panyin Mensah during further investigations, “stated that neither was she pregnant nor ever been kidnapped.”
The announcement comes barely 24 hours after the security apparatus issued a statement in which it named then victim of alleged kidnapping a suspect, after medical examinations, including scans and checks from hospital staffs she is reported to have visited for antenatal reviews proved untrue.
The statement however noted that the public will be updated with further details.
