Former President, John Dramani Mahama, has disclosed that ‘Oman Bo Adwo’ is his favourite song from the legendary Highlife artiste – Nana Kwame Ampadu.
This follows the demise of the musical icon on Tuesday September 28, 2021 after battling an illness.
According to the former president, the 76-year-old highlife artiste will be greatly missed.
“Nana Kwame Ampadu. He will be dearly missed. My favourite of his collections is ‘Oman Bo Adwo’”, John Mahama wrote on his official Facebook page.
Scores of Ghanaians, including Greater Accra MUSIGA Chairman, Ras Caleb Appiah-Levi, have paid tribute to the musical icon.
Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO), Abraham Adjatey, also applauded the musical icon for his immense contributions to Ghana’s Music Industry.
Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo, has also sent his condolences to the family of Nana Ampadu while stating that the legend was instrumental to his 2016 presidential campaigns which culminated in his subsequent victory.
The ‘King of Singers’ has been attributed with a vast collection of musical compositions including popular hits like Obra, Oman Bo Adwo, Agartha and Emelia.
