Forward Doris Boaduwaa scored twice as the Black Princesses of Ghana posted a convincing 5-0 win over Uganda, in a 2022 Women’s World Cup qualifier on Saturday afternoon at the Cape Coast Stadium.

The forward found the back of the net twice in the second half plus an early effort from Evelyn Badu, and one each from Abdulai Salamatu and Rahama Jafaru, to give Ghana a heavy win over their counterparts.

Coach Ben Forkuo’s charges opened the scoring in the 25th minute of the game, when Captain Evelyn Badu slotted home a beautiful finish after connecting a low cross from Doris Boaduwaa.

Three minutes later, Abdulai Salamatu doubled the lead for Ghana to ensure the team had a comfortable 2-0 lead before the break.

The Ugandans in a quick response came close to get a consolation before the break but goalkeeper Cynthia Konlan denied the cranes the opportunity with a point blank save.

Ghana who returned from the break with a sterling performance, extended their lead from substitute Rahama Jafaru in the 82nd minute of the game.

Doris Boaduwaa still in her unstoppable element after her assist to the opener, fetched the 4th and 5th goals to complete a resounding 5-0 home win over their Ugandans opponent.
