Nurudeen Amadu steps down as head coach of King Faisal

Ghana Premier League side, King Faisal Football Club has confirmed that head coach, Nurudeen Amadu has resigned from his post following the club’s recent poor performances.

The gaffer’s decision to step down follows the Insha Allahu Boys’ defeat to Elmina Sharks in the Ghana Premier League Week 24 match at the Ndoum Stadium.

The defeat has caused RTU to slip to 13th position on the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League table with 29 points from 24 matches.

King Faisal in a statement disclosed that the coach has stepped down following recent bad results in the league.

“Following the recent poor results of the club, our Head Coach, Nurudeen Amadu, has stepped down from his position with immediate effect”

“We thank the coach for his services to the club and wish him success in his future endeavors.” the club statement reads.

King Faisal announced that assistant coach, Abubakar Fatawu will take charge of the teams in the interim whiles they look forward to hire a new manager.

The Insha Allahu boys have gone six matches without a win. Faisal’s last win in the top flight league dates back to February 25, 2022 when they defeated WAFA 2-1 at Sogakope.

Abubakar Fatawu first assignment in the league will be against Accra Lions next weekend when they host them at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
