The Ghana Football Association will be crowing Asante Kotoko SC as champions of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season on Sunday, June 12, 2022, when they host Elimina Shark FC on match day 33.
The match which will be the red’s last home game of the season is scheduled to kick off at 6:00 pm local time at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
The Porcupine, who won their 25th domestic league title, emerged champions with three more matches to the end of the ongoing season. They currently have 60 points, 10 more points than second-placed Bechem United FC.
It follows after a 1-1 draw with Ashantigold SC on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at the Obuasi Lenclay Stadium.
Officials of the GFA will therefore be at the Baba Yara Stadium to present the GPL trophy and medals to the players and technical staff of the club.
In addition, the club will also receive prize money for emerging victorious as league champions.
