The Marketing Manager for Angel Broadcasting Network (ABN), Justice Amankwah has said that the media conglomerate is aiming at making the Fathers’ Day and Mothers’ Day celebrations more appealing so that parents would be more responsible.
Mr. Amankwah believes that by acknowledging and celebrating responsible parents, other parents who have reneged on their mandate would be enticed to follow the good examples.
Speaking with Angelonline.com.gh at the Angel Broadcasting Network (ABN) Fathers’ Day celebration at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, he said the idea is to raise the celebration to a height that whenever Ghanaians think of Fathers’ Day, they think of the ABN brand.
Touching on the planning process, the Marketing Manager said that despite the fact that this year’s planning was rushed and they were unable to invite a large number of people, the event was largely successful.

He, however, announced that Ghanaians should expect more people and even more fantastic surprises from the ABN brand next year.
Mr. Justice Amankwah used the opportunity to counsel parents, especially fathers to be responsible so that they receive the same honour and respect that mothers have.
“Everyone wants to honour their mother because most fathers are viewed as unreliable, and we planned this celebration because we want those who are unreliable to understand that if they are responsible, they will be honoured’’ he advised.
“In as much as your father has wronged your mother, you [the child] should not stand with her since. Whatever your father did, he is still the family’s head, and whatever you do, you need a head”, he added.
“Every father wants his children to appreciate him’’ he said.
