President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the Chief of Staff, Freema Opare, have been implored to as a matter of urgency take into consideration the operations of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

According to a man believed to be in his 40s, the quality of health service the reputable hospital delivers to patients is questionable.

Mr. Agyekum’s appeal to the President and Chief of Staff come to light after he had accused staff of the Korle Bu Hospital of negligence leading to his wife’s paralysis.

Speaking on Angel Morning Show on Angel FM/TV, the accused revealed that his pregnant wife visited the facility to give birth to twins (two boys), but it turned otherwise as the aftermath of her delivery through cesarean section (CS) resulted in a bizarre situation where his babies’ mother was rendered paralyzed.

Apart from the accusations, he furthered that “quality health services” by nurses and doctors at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital is a cause to worry about going forward.

He argued that the “attitude” of health workers at the hospital is a contributing factor hampering their quality of service to the public over the years.

Mr. Agyekum, a print operator, is thus calling on Akufo-Addo and the Chief of Staff – Freema Opare to act in their capacities by carefully monitoring the day-to-day activities of the Korle Bu Hospital to prevent future unforeseen circumstances.

“I want to humbly appeal to President Akufo Addo and Chief Justice Frema Opare – they should pay much attention to the operation of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, especially their service to pregnant women who go into labour. I’ve stayed for three months, and I know what I am talking about, so I plead with them to make it their topmost priority with a reality check,” he appealed.
