The Management of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has asked the general public to disregard news purporting that the service is recruiting personnel.
The GNFS in a statement dated on September 3, 2023, noted that its attention has been drawn to some information on social media platforms, particularly Facebook, concerning selling of its forms and recruitment of potential applicants.
However, the GNFS rubbished the development and cautioned the general public to stay away from patronizing such fraudulent practices.
“The GNFS wishes to inform the public that the Service is not recruiting, neither is the Service calling applicants for Medical Examination, Appointment letters, Attachment for training,” portion of the statement added.
According to them once clearance is given to recruit people into the service, management of the GNFS will officially come out with a communique to inform the public.
They called on the public to help them fight the recruitment fraud on social media by reporting all individuals, persons and entities who are involved in the criminal act to face the law.
