‘Position on ballot paper does not win election’ – Bawumia’s aide

Alan Kyeremanten’s resignation from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been hapless to the ruling government, Dennis Miracle Aboagye has said.

In an interview with Angel Morning Show Host, Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah, the spokesperson for Dr. Bawumia, expressed his displeasure about the latter’s decision.

According to him, Alan Kyeremanten’s departure from the NPP is one of the unfortunate situations the party has experienced.

“Alan’s resignation from the party is an unfortunate decision and it is an unfortunate situation for the party towards its goal in the upcoming elections” said Dennis Aboagye on the Tuesday’s edition of the program.

In the view of Mr. Aboagye, the resignation of the former Trade and Industry Minister from the NPP has the potential of affecting their chances in the 2024 general elections.

However, he was adamant breaking the eight-year term could still be achieved through togetherness, unity and having a common goal.

The former Akuapem North Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) wished Alan Kyerematen well in his new political journey.
