Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Radio and Television Personality (RTP) Awards, Prince Mackay has taken a swipe at controversial media personality Blakk Rasta.

He labelled the Media General journalist cum musician as “greedy and self centered” who fears to be outshined by his colleagues.

It would be recalled that Blakk Rasta issued a statement announcing his non participation in the awards scheme again and also returned plaques of all voting related awards of which he considers “award buying” and non credible. This included that of the RTP awards.

Speaking on the development for the first time with Londona Nie on Accra-based Top FM, Mr. Mackay described the seasoned media practioner cum Reggae artist as “selfish and hypocrites.”

Giving an account of what led to the journalist’s action, he said the latter felt disappointed, embarrassed and disgraced at one the award event where he was beaten by colleague Blakk Kobby to the conveted award.

He disclosed further that Blakk Rasta had previously called and pressured the scheme for his induction of which they found him unqualified.

“One is inducted when he/she wins for a particular number of times and is no more nominated. An example is Kwame Sefa Kayi…,” the CEO stated.
