The Minister of Education, Yaw Osei Adutwum has lauded the President, Nana Akufo-Addo for his efforts in improving the quality education system in the country.

According to him, the Ministry of Education under the leadership of the Akufo-Addo administration is doing incredible things such as the flagship free SHS policy, improving the quality of education, producing excellent products for schools and learners, and others to help build the nation towards a better Ghana.

Speaking during the launch of the ‘Ghana Smart Schools Project’ at the Accra International Conference Centre, Mr. Adutwum said the NPP’s contribution towards providing quality education is apt.

“We are now Enhancing the quality so that we create a pipeline of the next generation of Ghanaians from our kindergartens through primary schools, through our junior high schools, to our senior high schools.

The future of our education system is what we are witnessing today in life, participation from our schools across the nation. The fast of its kind at this Ministry of Education. The future is here… we are actually embarking on an agenda for the transformation of Ghana.”

He added “The future of Ghana couldn’t be brighter than what we are seeing. We are on a trajectory to a great future, and I can assure under Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo, a foundation has been laid. We are building on it. The future is here today, Ghana will be a great participant in the fourth industrial revolution.”

The Minister who doubles as Member of Parliament for Bosomtwe believes the antidote to the economic challenges is ‘laying a strong and robust foundation’ in the education system.

“We will win, and the winning begins from today. Education changes the fortune of countries. No country has transformed itself without improving its education system. We have begun something, that ten years, 20 years from now, the world would talk about.

This is the moment of Africa, and this is Ghana’s moment, and I am super excited that we get to embark on this after proving ourselves to secondary education.”
