Jayana wins ‘female vocalist of the year’ at GUGMA Awards 2020

Ghanaian gospel diva, Jayana, was adjudged the best Female Vocalist of the year at the second edition of Ghana Urban Gospel Music Awards (GUGMA) which took place on Sunday, July 26, 2020.

Jemima Annor-Yeboah, known in the gospel fraternity as Jayana, is noted for her soul-touching ministrations, making an incredible impact on followers of gospel music.

The ‘Victory’ hitmaker beat competition from Efe Grace, Celestine Donkor, Alexandrah and Pastor Dzifa.

The colourful event which was held at Radiant Place at Tesano, saw inspiring performances from a lot of urban gospel artistes.

Jayana took to the stage to minister her current hit songs ‘I Believe’ and ‘Who You Are’on that fateful night.

Jayana is currently promoting her new single ‘WHO YOU ARE’ which is doing well. She was also among the finalists of the first season of Stars of the Future competition.

She is not only a gospel musician but also an entrepreneur who owns a beauty salon called Jayana Beauty Salon where she trains ladies for free and has a beauty school named Jayana Beauty Salon and Academy.

This year’s edition of Ghana Urban Gospel Music Awards (GUGMA) drew in a lot of personalities including musicians, music producers, sound engineers and other stakeholders in the music industry.
