The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, and his wife Lady Julia have registered for Voter Identity Card for the upcoming 2020 general elections.
The couple passed through all the necessary processes required to secure the card at Manhyia Palace.
They were accompanied by the Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah, Member of Parliament for Manhyia South, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh and some traditional leaders at the Manhyia Palace.
The Regional Minister in an interview with the media expressed gratitude to the Electoral Commission (EC) for enforcing Covid-19 protocols at registration centers in the region.
Mr. Osei Mensah advised those who have not yet registered to do so to enable them to participate in the December elections.
