The President, Nana Akufo-Addo has said that he is convinced that he will win the impending elections.

In an interview on Angel 96.1FM with Kwame Tanko, the President said he is sure of victory because of his achievements in government.

“I’ll win the elections, yes, I know it…,” he said in response to a question on how he sees the elections.

The President has been tipped by many to win the polls with more than 50%.

Pollster Ben Ephson has projected that the President will win with 52.6% while a research by the Political Science Department of the University of Ghana puts the President at 51.7%.

“With a two percent of margin of error, Akufo-Addo of the New Patriotic Party will win with 52.6 percent and John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will also get 45.7 percent,” Ben Epshon said Wednesday, November 25, 2020, on the ‘Anɔpa Bɔfoɔ’ morning show.

“When respondents were stretched to indicate the presidential candidate they would vote for in the December 7 elections, 51.7% declared for Akufo-Addo, 40.4% favour John Mahama and 1.4% would vote for Christian Kwabena Andrews, and 1.4 and the undecided are 3.7%,” the Political Science Department said.
