W/R: Preste-Himan gets standard football pitch and volleyball court

The ssemblyman for Prestea-Himan Electoral Area in the Prestea Huni-Valley counstituency, Alex Yaw Baako, has handed over a newly built football park and volleyball court to the community.

Speaking on Friday, March 5, 2021, at a ceremony to hand over the facilities, Mr Alex Baako said the move follows promises he made during his campaign leading to the 2020 district assemblies elections in the area. Prestea-Himan pitch

Popularly called ‘Abrosoo’, Mr Baako said: “My objectives and my messages while campaigning for the assembly man position was to bring development to the community.”

“Nananom [chiefs] and the people were so emphatic that should they vote for me, I should make sure I construct and upgrade the Methodist school park to modern standard,” he said.

He pledged to help develop various communities in the area, while further promising to upgrade the facility to become modern standard pitch.

He commended the chiefs and elders of Prestea-Himan for rallying behind him to come out with such wonderful project.

Divisional Chief for Prestea-Himan, Nana Nteboah IV, applauded Abrosoo for the tremendous work done and asked the gods of the land to bless him.
