Ahead of this year’s International Women’s Day celebration, the National Investment Bank (NIB) celebrates eight dynamic female leaders within the organisation, who have played significant roles in the company’s growth since the break of Covid-19.

In a release dated March 3, 2021, the bank noted that the contributions of such women in the financial sector of the country’s economy are immense and need to be recognised.

“In the corporate and business sectors such as banking, the invaluable role of women in leadership and its impact on the positive transformations witnessed within the sector and its ripple effect on the national development over the past few years cannot be overlooked,” the statement said.

The women who are being celebrated in respect of this are Ms Ama B. Ghartey, General Manager, Treasury and Investment; Mrs Angela Okae, Head, Human Resource Department and Mrs Bernadette Addo-Dankwa, Head, SME.

Others are Mrs Mary Owusu-Brefo, Head, Customer Services; Ms Joycelyn Ashidam, Ag. Board Secretary and Ms Gloria Adotey, Project Management Officer

The rest are Mrs Grace F. Adu-Okyere, Head, E-Banking and Ms Marian Touré, Head, Marketing and Corporate Communications.

Ms Toure fills her role as the bank’s first female to occupy the newly created department tasked with improving the bank’s brand equity, according to the statement issued by the bank.
