After a goalless first half, the home side made two changes in the second half in search for the opener.
On the 61st minutes, Zakaria Mumuni made way for Ebenezer Ackahbi while Joseph Tetteh Zutah replaced Godfred Kwadwo Asamoah on the 68 minutes.
Former Hearts of Oak defender Vincent Atingah super header in the 80th minute after latching on a ball from a corner kick gave the home side the bragging rights over their neighbours.

Fabio Gama shines in Asanteman Derby as the Porcupine Warriors hit one pass Obuasi Ashanti Gold at the Len Clay Sports Stadium.

Kotoko had the chance to take lead on the 13th minutes but failed after Gyamfi forces Kofi Nkrumah to lose the ball as he sets off against the keeper who runs from his line. Gyamfi opts for a dribble but fails as the keeper palms the ball out of his reach.

Asmah tears off on the 23rd minutes from the left and produces a beautiful cross into the goal area which is completed with aheader from Gama as the first half ended 1-0.
Augustine Okrah was substituted for Evans Adomako for Kotoko as they push for the second goal but to no avail.

Referee Daniel Laryea brought the game to a close as Porcupine Warriors reigned supreme in the Asante derby.

It was 1-1 draw at the Accra Sports Stadium as Great Olympics and Hearts of Oak share spoils in ‘Mantse Derby’.
