Representative of the people of Shai-Osudoku Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Linda Akweley Obenewaa Ocloo, has advised her constituents and the general public to disregard a Facebook account set up in her name.

According to the legislator, some imposters have used her name, picture and other details to create a Facebook account with which they dupe people in the name of offering them non-existent jobs.

Linda Ocloo in a disclaimer sighted by Angelonline.com.gh on her official Facebook account, dissociated herself from the fraudulent act indicating that the said account is fake.

The disclaimer follows a Facebook post in which a conversation was held with her name asking people for money in return for jobs.

A captured image of conversation held in the MP’s name.

“I, Hon Linda Akweley Obenewaa Ocloo, MP for Shai-Osudoku Constituency will like to bring to the attention of the general public the activities of some unscrupulous people who have created a fake Facebook account and using same to defraud people.

May I state emphatically that, my Facebook account bears the name Linda Ocloo and my Facebook page bears the name Hon. Linda Akweley Obenewaa Ocloo. All other accounts bearing my name and pictures are fake” she stated.

Withal, the Lawmaker noted that she had not and would never engage herself in such behavior on social media let alone ask people to pay any sum of money before securing them jobs.

With regards, Linda Ocloo urged all and sundry not to hesitate to reach her office at Dodowa whenever they suspect any foul play in her name as MP.
