Prophet Owusu-Bempah, 3 others arraigned before Court

The founder and leader of the Glorious Word and Power Ministry International, Rev Isaac Owusu-Bempah has been arraigned before an Accra Circuit court.

The man of God and three others were arraigned after they were arrested on Sunday for allegedly assaulting a Police Officer at the premises of the church at Busia Junction in Accra.

The three other suspects include, Michael Boateng, Frederick Ohene, and Nathaniel Agyekum.

According to the Ghana Police the arrest follows “creation and circulation of multiple videos containing threats, and the brandishing of a weapon and the assault of some police personnel.”

A statement signed by the Acting Director of Public Affairs, ACOP Kwesi Ofori, indicated that, “after critically analyzing the said video and based on intelligence gathered, the police embark on an operations today Sunday, September 12, 2021 at the premises of the church to arrest the suspects.”

“During the operation, some members of the church, believed to have been under the direction of Reverend Bempah assaulted some police officers” the statement added.
