A young man believed to be in his late twenties has been reportedly beheaded by his girlfriend at Teye Glover, a community of Bososo in the Fanteakwa South District of Eastern Region.

The deceased, Amanor Lartey, was allegedly beheaded by the suspect whose name was given as Racheal Tetteh in the early morning of Sunday, October 3, 2021.

The circumstances that triggered the suspect to commit such crime are yet unknown.

Narrating the incident, an eyewitness by name Joshua Tetteh said that: “Amanor came to Zongo to do something in the morning so upon reaching a particular place on his way back home, Rachael, the girlfriend of the deceased who was hiding among some banana trees hit the boyfriend on his blind side with a stick at her disposal’’

‘’So after hitting Amanor first with the stick, he fell to the ground along with a cutlass he was holding. Raphael quickly picked the cutlass belonging to the deceased and started striking him leading to the beheading’’ the eyewitness narrated to Angelonline.com.gh

Following this, some nearby residents who heard the screaming of the Amanor swiftly rushed to the scene in an attempt to rescue him but only to see him bleeding to death in a pool of blood.

The angry residents quickly arrested the suspect and tied her with a rope before calling the Bososo Police command who later rushed to the scene to intervene.

Confirming the matter, Eastern Regional Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ebenezer Tetteh, said the suspect has been arrested and handed over to the Akim Tafo Police Command where she’s currently in police custody assisting investigation.

Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has since been conveyed to the New Akim Tafo Government hospital waiting for autopsy.
