Two grabbed over their alleged involvement in Tarkwa Bullion Van robbery

The Tarkwa Divisional Command of the Ghana Police Service has arrested two persons for their alleged involvement in a robbery incident at Ransbet supermarket, in the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipality.

The robbers made away with an undsiclosed amount of money during the robbery which occurred on Monday, October 19, 2021.

The suspects, Charles Enning and Dorcas Akosua Amankwah, both workers of Mon-Trans Limited are currently assisting investigations.

“Preliminary investigations indicate that suspects, Charles Enning, a driver and Dorcas Akosua Amankwah, a teller of the company, went to Ransbet Supermarket for proceeds made over the weekend to be deposited at the bank but failed to pick up the Police Officer who was detailed to provide security for them”

“In the process of putting the money into the bullion van, the suspects were attacked by a masked armed man and bolted with the money on a standby motorbike” the statement noted.

Two others, the Police statement continued are being pursued by the Police.

The statement further appealed to the public to help with information which will lead to their arrest.
