Ghana’s ambassador to Italy, Mrs. Eudora Quartey-Koranteng has passed on.
The sudden demise of the ambassador occurred on Tuesday, October 19, 2021.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration disclosed this to the public via a statement issued on Wednesday, October 20,2021.
“It is with a heavy heart and profound sadness that the ministry received the news of the sudden demise of H.E. Ambassador Mrs. Eudora Quartey-Koranteng, Ghana’s ambassador to Rome, Italy, which occurred on Tuesday, 19th October, 2021”, the statement read.
The statement however, did not reveal the cause of death of the ambassador.
The ministry took the opportunity to extend its condolences to the family of the late ambassador.
According to the Administrative Director of the ministry, Daniel O.Okaiteye, the minister -Shirley Ayorkor Botchway- led a team to the bereaved family to commiserate with them.
The ministry also prayed that the “Good Lord grant the late Ambassador Mrs. Eudora Quartey-Koranteng eternal repose”.
President Akufo-Addo, while in Serbia to attend the 60th anniversary of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), was recently hosted by the late Ambassador.
