The Head and Leader of Transformation 108 Ghana, Jnana Caksus Das, has stated that several people claiming to be prophets of God are actually fake.

According to him, out of the thousands claiming to be prophets, only a paltry one percent are true with 99% been counterfeits.

The founder of Transformation Foundation Worldwide,  made the claim on Angel FM’s Anopa Bofo Morning Show on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, during a discussion on prophecies following the IGP’s meeting with religious leaders about the growing trend of fake prophesies causing fear and alarm in the public domain.

When we speak of prophecies, there are some prophets who are genuine but 99% of the prophets are fake. Only one percent is true, he said in the Twi parlance.

Speaking further, he opined that majority of the fake prophets use the cliché   ‘God has revealed or told me that…’ to deceive congregants to believe their lies.

But he believes that only people who are spiritually ignorant would fall prey to such deceit because anyone who is knowledgeable about the spirit realm wouldn’t fall victim to such.

He added that any prophesy that has a conditional clause – ifs and buts – attached to it is likely to be untrue.

“There are no ‘ifs’ or ‘buts’ in prophecies because God is all-knowing. Adding such conditional clauses limits God but God is infallible and can’t be limited. If God says you would be shot, He knows it will certainly happen because you won’t pray against it. Why would God bring ifs and buts?”

While lauding the new IGP, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, for his commendable works, he stated that prophets have not been stopped from prophesying however, the IGP’s focus is on prophecies that are harmful to public peace and order.

This assertion was supported by Prophets Kumchacha and Eric Amponsah, both of whom were panelists on the Anopa Bofo show.

Dr. George Akuffo Dampare met with heads of religious and faith-based organizations, on Monday, October 25, to deliberate over issues on religion and the law as well as the rights and limitations of the religious community within the confines of the law.

According to Prophet Amponsah, the law does not permit the IGP to restrict prophecies from pastors but empowers the police to arrest supposed men of God who deliver fake prophesies either to trend or cause havoc in society.

All three pastors came to the conclusion that indeed there are some predictions from pastors that are silly prophecies.

They advocated that henceforth all prophets must be circumspect in prophesying to avert any unforeseen circumstances.
