A hilife legend, Samuel Owusu has entreated Ghanaians to honour the living since the dead would not be able to appreciate the love we show them after their demise.

The ‘Veranda’ hitmaker made this statement on United Showbiz last Saturday, a program hosted by Nana Ama Mcbrown.

When the host asked him about his opinion on the state burial proposed by the government for his late colleague legend Nana Ampadu, he said it was not a bad idea, considering his great works and service to the country.

However, he advised that as a country we should cultivate the culture of venerating the living rather than the dead who will not be able to see the honour being done to them.

Nana Ampadu was a hilife musician who composed not less than 400 songs. He was known as “Ndwontofohene” which is translated King of Musicians. He was one-time president of MUSIGA.

He passed on Tuesday, September 28, 2021.
