Reggie Zippy lays mom to rest

It was all teary over the weekend for Ghanaian UK-based musician, Reginald Ainooson known in the industry as Reggie Zippy, when he laid his mother to rest at the Gbawe cemetery in the Greater Accra Region.

The ‘Virgin’ hitmaker during the burial service, excused himself to spend a little time with the mortal remains of his mother at the gravesite.

He sang a dirge he composed for Ceecy as he affectionately called her. One could tell the pain he was engulfed in as he was very close to her and was the only son.

Meanwhile, some media personalities including Angel Broadcasting Network’s (ABN) Stacy Amoateng, Gloria Sarfo and Ohema Woyeje graced the occasion to commiserate with the aggrieved.

Other personalities who were present at the funeral grounds were Abeiku Santana and Noble Nketia.

Madam Cecelia died after a short illness on August 29, 2021.
