A former Police detective, Norbert Anane Dei, has said he relapsed in cocaine usage when his lover questioned his ability to last in bed.

Sergeant Anane, was once an addict who was taken into rehabilitation at the Chosen Rehab centre.

He was one of four Police officers who intercepted some narcotic drugs being smuggled from MV Benjamin vessel at Paradise Beach at Kpone in the Greater Accra Region on April 26, 2006.

According to him, in the process of investigating, he decided to steal some of the cocaine to go and sell.

He took part of the substance to a hideout at Tema where testers were invited to check the originality of the substance.

He revealed that as they tested the substance, he became curious and wanted to try it out and this led to his addiction.

In his interview with Kofi Adoma Nwanwani on Anopa Bofoↄ morning show on Angel FM on November 15, 2021, Mr. Anane said he lost his job and wife through the process.

He was later taken to the rehabilitation centre in Greater Accra for attention.

According to him, his stay at the home was helpful as it helped him to break the addiction.

However, his joy of breaking the addiction was short lived as his lover questioned his ability to last in bed.

He explained that after the encounter with his girlfriend, he decided to seek for something that could help him treat his premature ejaculation and cocaine was the best solution to him at the time.

He explained it took the intervention of God to bring him back on track.

He advised the general public to desist from any form of drugs as it can be detrimental to their health and life.
