Comic actor, Kojo Nkansah popularly known as Lil Win in showbiz has declared himself as God sent to New Edubiase United Football Club, a Ghanaian lower-tier team.

This was after he was signed up and unveiled together with some five other new players on Friday October 15, 2021 prior to the start of the 2021/2022 season.

Speaking to Angel FM’s Saddick Adams aka Sports Obama, host of the Sports Salad programme on Friday November 19, 2021, Lil Win stated that he is a like a palm tree with a lot of benefits. According to him, his contract with the club has made the team very popular.

Asked why it took so long for him to discover his football talent, he replied that it was now time to do it, besides when it was time for him to take up acting roles he was discovered, when it was time for music same, and that since it is now the right time for football, Mr. Alhaji has discovered him.

Responding to question about the role he can play in football he said that he is good at penalties and no goal keeper in Ghana could save his goal, nonetheless, he could play at any given position.

The newly signed player cautioned the Kumasi Asante Kotoko team to be on the watch out for a fantastic drill by him should they meet with his team for a match. He promised to give Kotoko a hard time any time they meet.

The player urged his fans to be on the lookout out for a spectacular game from him which will make them forget most football legends such Asamoah Gyan, Sule Mutari amongst others.

He however named Kotoko, Accra Hearts of Oak and Eduabiase as his top three teams in Ghana.

Lil Win’s footballing career is now an added portfolio to his other professions: movie acting, singing and entrepreneurship.
